Oxy-fuel Combustion Technology: NOFC™

Oxy-fuel combustion technology reduces CO2 emissions associated with glass melting and plays a key role in achieving carbon neutrality.

As industries worldwide strive for carbon neutrality, reducing CO2 emissions in glass production has become a critical challenge. By adopting our oxy-fuel combustion technology, manufacturers can significantly reduce CO2 emissions compared to traditional air combustion methods. This technology supports energy efficiency improvement and reduction of CO2 emissions.

Features

Oxy-fuel combustion, which uses only oxygen, and oxygen-enriched combustion, which adds oxygen to the air, are critical technologies driving carbon neutrality. Unlike traditional air combustion, these technologies use oxygen to minimize unnecessary energy loss caused by heating and releasing nitrogen, significantly reducing CO2 emissions. Since 1993, we have pioneered glass melting with oxy-fuel combustion, refining over 30 years of expertise into our proprietary "NOFC™" (NEG Oxy-fuel Combustion Technology). Through this innovation, we empower our customers to achieve energy efficiency improvement and lower CO2 emissions, contributing to a sustainable future.

Reduce Gas Consumption by Up to 60%

  • Switching from air combustion to oxy-fuel combustion: about 60% reduction in gas consumption
