Healthcare

Innovations in medical technology have played a critical role in helping people live healthier lives. Products used in these advanced environments must meet the highest standards of safety and reliability. For decades, we’ve been developing, manufacturing, and supplying glass products that meet the rigorous demands of the medical industry. Today, we offer radiation shielding glass that protects medical professionals from radiation exposure during procedures, as well as glass tubing for pharmaceutical containers designed to reduce the risk of drug degradation and contamination.
Applications
X-ray Inspection

In advanced medical environments, such as those utilizing CT (computed tomography) and PET (positron emission tomography) equipment, medical professionals need protection from radiation so they can safely diagnose multiple patients with accuracy and efficiency.
Our radiation shielding glass provides superior protection against radiation exposure and maintains exceptional transparency to support quick, accurate diagnoses. This high-performance glass meets the demands of medical environments that value both safety and precision.
One representative product is LX Premium—a multi-layered glass that combines JIS-certified radiation shielding lead glass (LX-57B), safety film, and special cover glass. It’s highly impact-resistant and prevents fogging caused by water splashes or chemical exposure. LX Premium reduces maintenance burdens while enhancing diagnostic accuracy and protecting medical staff from radiation exposure.
As medical research continues to advance—with new radiation-based treatments and imaging technologies utilizing radiation sources—our radiation shielding glass plays a key role in driving innovation forward.

Radiation Shielding Lead Glass: LX-57B
It offers excellent radiation shielding performance and has been highly praised across a wide range of fields, including medical, industrial, laboratory, and nuclear industries. By using the large-sized LX-57B for monitoring and operation windows, such as in X-ray TV rooms, X-ray CT rooms, and angiography rooms, the field of view is expanded, significantly improving operability.
Radiation Protective Screen: LX Protective Screen
This mobile radiation protective screen features radiation shielding lead glass with a special cover glass (LX Premium). Known for its excellent radiation shielding performance and ease of handling, it has become a popular choice among hospitals and clinics, receiving high praise. In addition to safeguarding medical practitioners from radiation, the highly transparent glass offers a clear view, facilitating accurate and efficient diagnoses.
Radiation Shielding Lead Glass with Cover Glass: LX Premium
This is a multi-layered glass made by laminating radiation shielding lead glass (LX-57B) and a special cover glass, offering excellent radiation shielding property. It is resistant to water-induced deterioration (clouding) caused by chemical splashes or water wiping and offers superior impact safety. This glass is ideal for sterilized X-ray rooms, windows in angiography rooms where chemicals may scatter, and door windows with high human traffic.Pharmaceutical Container

New medical technologies rely not only on advanced devices and treatments but also on the development of innovative pharmaceuticals. Many new drugs offer high efficacy, but some are vulnerable to degradation or alteration. Pharmaceutical containers are essential for protecting these medicines, ensuring their effectiveness through proper transport and storage. By using high-quality containers, patients receive new medical technologies when they need them most.
Our glass tubing for pharmaceutical containers feature exceptional chemical durability and UV shielding properties. These qualities help prevent degradation of pharmaceuticals caused by chemical reactions or UV exposure. Our glass can be processed into a variety of pharmaceutical containers, including ampoules, vials, and syringes, making it versatile for a wide range of medical applications.
Our products meet the standards of the Japanese Pharmacopoeia, as well as those of the United States and European Pharmacopoeias. This global compliance ensures that our products are trusted by medical professionals worldwide.
With advancements in drug discovery—like the use of AI to develop new pharmaceuticals—the pace of innovation in medical technology is accelerating. Through our high-quality glass tubing, we support these breakthroughs and contribute to better healthcare outcomes.

Glass Tubing for Pharmaceutical Containers: BS
It is an transparent borosilicate glass with excellent chemical durability, heat resistance, and impact resistance, used in pharmaceutical containers such as ampoules, vials, syringes, and physicochemical containers like test tubes. It is made from Type I glass, meeting the standards for pharmaceutical glass containers set by the Japanese Pharmacopoeia as well as the US and European Pharmacopoeias. Sealed tubes with closed ends are also available.
