Compared to other materials, glass still holds a wealth of mystery and possibility. At our Research and Development Division, we continually unlock these mysteries through experimental and computational science, creating new types of glass in the process.

Glass is also an incredibly delicate material. Even impurities at the one-millionth level or structural changes on the nanometer scale can affect its properties. That’s why we’re always refining our precise evaluation and analysis techniques.

Our R&D strength lies in our ability to rapidly deliver glass solutions that meet societal and customer needs, from fundamental research to advanced design and evaluation technologies.
