Housing Equipment and Building Material

Pour boiling water into a regular glass, and it shatters—that’s because standard glass is vulnerable to sudden temperature changes.
Our super heat-resistant glass-ceramics can withstand extreme conditions, even when cold water is poured on it immediately after being heated to 800°C. This feature, known as thermal shock resistance, makes it incredibly durable.
Glass-ceramics are composites of glass and crystals. While glass is originally amorphous and lacks crystalline structures, reheating specially formulated glass allows for the uniform precipitation of crystals within it. This process gives glass-ceramics properties that conventional glass does not have. One such property is its resistance to sudden temperature changes, known as thermal shock resistance. The crystals’ low or negative coefficients of thermal expansion counteracts the positive expansion of the glass component, resulting in a near-zero thermal expansion rate.
Our super heat-resistant glass-ceramics are used in everyday applications like induction and gas cooktop plates, as well as fire-resistant windows in schools and shopping malls, ensuring safety and reliability in daily life.

Fire-rated Glass

FireLite: glass for safety and peace of mind during fires
Our super heat-resistant glass-ceramics stand strong against fire damage.
FireLite is designed to minimize fire damage, resisting high heat and sudden cooling from sprinklers or water jets. For even greater protection, FireLite Plus laminates two FireLite panels together with a special resin, combining enhanced thermal shock resistance with impact safety. Even in the event of a collision, the laminated FireLite Plus significantly reduces the risk of broken glass scattering or falling.
As awareness of disaster preparedness increases, this glass is earning public trust as reliable “disaster-resistant glass” that can withstand fires and earthquakes. It’s an ideal solution for locations where large groups of people gather, such as schools, public buildings, train stations, and shopping malls.

Fire-rated Glass: FireLite
FireLite is crafted from super heat-resistant glass-ceramics with an almost zero coefficient of thermal expansion, making it incredibly resistant to thermal shock. It won't crack, even when heated to 800°C and exposed to cold water. As the only fire-rated glass that withstands both intense heat during a fire and rapid cooling from firefighting efforts, FireLite offers unparalleled protection. Its exceptional fire resistance has been verified by meeting UL standards in the United States.
