Lumiphous™ is a glass component designed for wavelength conversion, offering excellent weather resistance and lightfastness. It can incorporate various phosphors to customize wavelength conversions, including UV light (ultraviolet light) visualization.

Advantages of Using Glass Materials

  • Can convert to a variety of wavelengths
    Some wavelength conversion materials used in high-power applications require high-temperature phosphor encapsulation, limiting the types of phosphors. By using glass materials, high durability is maintained, and a wider range of phosphors can be incorporated.

  • Extensive product lineup
    We have developed an ultra-thin series with a thickness of 100 μm or less. Customization options are also available to meet specific customer requirements.
  • Excellent light and weather resistance
    Materials with low light and weather resistance may yellow over time. However, phosphor glass maintains its functionality even after 5,000 hours at 85°C and 85% relative humidity.
  • High quality and mass production
    Lumiphous™ has a proven track record in automotive LED headlamps, ensuring it can be supplied with high quality and for mass production.
