Ultra-low Reflection Glass: Invisible Glass™

Anti-reflection (AR) coating minimizes light reflection, making the glass nearly invisible. By reducing glare and reflections, it enhances the clarity and beauty of objects on the other side. It is ideal for protective covers on store showcases or museum paintings.
Applications
-
Showcases, display cases
-
Frame glass for paintings, artwork, etc.
-
Image sensors

The Invisible Glass™ Mechanism

By forming a high-performance anti-reflection coating on the glass surface, reflections of light are minimized, making the glass nearly invisible.
Luminous Reflectance
Bare glass | High-performance AR | Invisible Glass™ | |
---|---|---|---|
Luminous reflectance | Approx. 4% | <0.3% | <0.1% |
The luminous reflectance* of bare glass is approx. 4% on one side, whereas Invisible Glass™ has an exceptionally low reflectance of less than 0.1%. This is made possible by our proprietary coating technology, which applies multiple layers of an ultra-thin anti-reflection coating—thousands of times thinner than a human hair—on both sides of the glass. By combining thin film coatings of varying thicknesses and refractive indices, we’ve created Invisible Glass™ that minimizes reflection to an extraordinary degree.

Luminous reflectance refers to reflectance of light perceived by human eyes.
